 Zeebrugge terminal has developed a lot during the last 40 years, to become one of the fastest growing ports on the North-Sea shore. This becomes quite obvious when you look at the numbers which are impressive: The port's volume, which equaled 2 million tons in 1965, surpassed 31.8 million tons in 2004. Conventional cargo grew by 37.7 %, solid bulk increased by 13.5 %.
The Zeebrugge terminal is once again the absolute leader in the traffic of new cars. At the end of 2004, a new record of 1.740.489 units were transited through the port, of which Sea-Ro Terminal takes more than 50 % for her account.
